The Altrincham French Festival is to return in July with an expanded two-day celebration of all things français.

Following the success of last year’s event, organisers have announced an increased programme of events for the weekend of July 11th and 12th.

On Saturday 11th, there will be a Bastille Day celebration at Bowdon Rugby Club, a ticketed evening event with a sit down three-course French meal, drink, live entertainment and a spectacular firework display.

Zainul Sachak, founder of the festival, said: “Nearly 3,000 people came last year and had a fabulous family day. This year, we’re back with a bigger and better event.

“There are a lot of opportunities to get involved whether volunteering, running a stall or sponsoring some of the activities. You can make a difference by supporting your local community. Your festival needs you, so please get in touch with us today.”

The event, which is being supported by a number of organisations and businesses including the French Embassy and Alliance Francaise de Manchester, will again be raising money for Marie Curie through a raffle.

Anyone interested in participating in the festival should email Zainul on info@altyfrenchfestival.co.uk. Full details about the event can be found here.
