The A556 will be partially closed tonight as part of Highways England’s creation of a new four-mile bypass.
The road, which runs between the M56 junction 8 and the M6 in Cheshire, will shut southbound between Bowdon Roundabout and Bucklow Hill.
It will close at 9pm tonight and reopen at 5am on Tuesday morning. Diversions will be in place.
