The Altrincham Concert Orchestra is to hold a Christmas charity concert in aid of St Ann’s Hospice.

The concert, to be held at Altrincham United Reformed Church on Cecil Road, will be the first following the completion of the church’s recent renovation.

Starting at 2:15pm on Sunday 13th December, audience members will be treated to a selection of Christmas, movie and musical favourites including Christmas Carols, Sleigh Ride, White Christmas, Pirates of the Caribbean, Swan Lake and The Sound of Music.

It is also the first concert that the musical director, Miles Haslam, has conducted with the orchestra.

“This is a fabulous opportunity for the orchestra to show off their local talent, get Altrincham in the Christmas spirit and also raise donations for a very worthy cause”. said Miles, who joined the orchestra in May of this year.

“I’ve been so impressed with the playing in the orchestra, but I’m convinced there must be more budding musicians in the area. We have a lot of fun at our Monday night rehearsals and if you would like to play with us please get in touch.”

Tickets for the concert on 13th December are available for £5 (children £2.50) on the door or can be reserved by emailing acotickets@gmail.com.
