A husband and wife team are on course to reach £1 million worth of sales as they launch a new showroom in Altrincham.

Guy and Lyndsey Goodger set up Rose & Grey over eight years ago and are now investing £50,000 in a new store in Atlantic Street, which will officially open on Saturday 4th June.

The interiors store aims to provide an alternative to the high street giants, selling everything from sofas, armchairs and dining tables to accessories such as lighting, wallpaper and kitchenware.

Now Lyndsey, 41, and Guy, 45, are hoping that the new unit will enable them to expand their customer base and champion independent, family-run businesses.

It will also allow visitors to browse a carefully curated collection of the couple’s favourite products from the website’s extensive portfolio.

Mum-of-two Lyndsey said: “We started the business with a capsule collection of vintage leather furniture and quickly realised that there was scope to expand our range of beautifully made, quality furniture.

“We spotted that people were becoming increasingly savvy about the pieces they chose for their home and wanted statement items that would stand the test of time. As such, we began sourcing an eclectic range of vintage, industrial items with a Scandinavian aesthetic and they really proved a hit!

“Of course, online shopping has its advantages but there is simply no substitute for having a product in front of you to test for yourself. We’re proud of our roots and are excited to be part of such an up and coming business community as Altrincham.”

Among the 30 brands offered by Rose & Grey are Madam Stoltz, Nkuku and Abigail Ahern, as well as English upholstery specialists Tetrad. The showroom will house a snapshot of Rose & Grey’s collections, while a special consultation area for interior designers has also been created.

Lyndsey, a former acquisition manager at Channel 4, said: “We know that furnishing your home is something that requires a lot of thought, time and effort, but the feeling when inspiration strikes and you find that ‘wow’ piece is like no other.

“We aim to become the ‘go-to’ place for those looking to enhance their own home, as well as interior designers searching for that special piece for a client.”

Lyndsey added: “Altrincham is quickly becoming a hub of business growth and we’re thrilled to be part of the area at such an exciting time.”
