We’re raising money for Brentwood special school in Timperley

Altrincham Today is raising money for Brentwood High School and Community College, the Timperley-based special school.

On Friday June 10th, editor David Prior is taking part in the Great North Swim, encompassing a two-mile course across Windermere. That’s the equivalent of a lung-busting 128 lengths of your average pool. He’s so far clocked up over 30km in 12 weeks of training swims at Altrincham Leisure Centre.

We’re looking to raise the specific sum of £765 to buy a new GC Delta Recumbent Trike for Brentwood. Brentwood, based on Brentwood Avenue in Timperley, provides specialist education for pupils aged 11 to 19 with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties and autistic spectrum disorder.

The school is currently looking to raise almost £25,000 for specialist bike equipment to use on its cycle track at its new school building. The money we will raise will go direct to the Friends Of Brentwood Association, a registered charity.

This is a fantastic local cause – your help, however small, will be hugely appreciated.
