Visuals of a new Bowdon penthouse have been released to mark the start of building work on a new £9million development.

Manchester-based developer Real Estate Investment Partnerships Ltd has appointed Chrome Services to work on the 15,700 sq ft Highbank scheme on Green Walk, most recently the home of The Transform Group.

Originally built in 1861, the existing property is situated within a predominately Victorian residential setting in Bowdon’s conservation area.

Designed by Ollier Smurthwaite, it will comprise seven apartments in total, plus two cottages, two semi-detached townhouses and a detached townhouse, and is due for completion in June 2017.

Already launched to the market is a luxurious 2,600 sq ft penthouse, with three bedrooms, four bathrooms, a gym, sauna, study and library, all split across two floors.

Chrome Services, based in Cheadle, have commenced work on the £3 million construction contract.

Stephen Slater, chief executive officer of Real Estate Investment Partnerships Ltd, said: “Green Walk is in one of the area’s most prestigious postcodes, with fantastic local amenities, as well as sitting a mere stone’s throw from Hale and the up-and-coming town of Altrincham, which is also undergoing significant redevelopment.”

Adrian Dale, director of Chrome Services, added: “This is a really exciting project. We’ve already made some great progress on site and look forward to helping transform this historic building, which is in need of some TLC. Delivering a high-end, sought-after development is always very rewarding and we’re proud to be a part of it.”

Real Estate Investment Partnerships is also working on Alexandra House, an £18million residential development on Ashley Road.

Enquiries and sales will be handled by Hibbert Homes and Gascoigne Halman, both based in Hale village.
