A 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a serious assault in Altrincham yesterday.
We reported yesterday that a 52-year-old man was left with what police described as "life-changing injuries" after being pushed down a flight of stairs in a premises on The Causeway at around 2.10am on Saturday 8th June.
The arrested man is now in custody for questioning, while the victim remains in hospital for treatment.
Police are continuing to ask anyone with information to make a report by calling 0161 856 9164 and quoting log 290 of 08/06/2024.
