A contract catering firm has moved its head office from Salford to Altrincham.

Optima Catering has taken a 1,000 sq ft space on a five-year lease at The Warrant House on High Street, a former police station built in 1915 but converted into offices in 1995.

With financial advisors Entire FS also recently taking a 1,000 sq ft suite in the building, the 10,000 sq ft property is now fully let.

Brian Lockley, managing director of Optima Catering, said: We had been looking to relocate for some time and these offices meet our business criteria and from which we can continue to expand the company.

“Altrincham is an ideal location with its excellent transport links and retail leisure amenities which all of us are looking forward to taking advantage of.”

A rental of £14 per sq ft was achieved for both lettings.

Daniel Lee, director, Regional Property Solutions, added: “These lettings reflect a growing confidence in the economy as the building has not only managed to attract quality tenants but a higher headline rent has been achieved when compared to deals done only a couple of years ago.”

Regional Property Solutions and Canning O’Neill acted for the landlord Grangethorpe Properties Ltd. Tenant Advisory Group acted for Entire FS, Optima Catering was unrepresented.
