Over 10,000 took part in the Greater Manchester Marathon today, with several roads within Altrincham and Timperley forming part of the 26.2-mile course.
There was a great turn-out from spectators across Altrincham, with the men’s and women’s races eventually won by New Zealander Paul Martelletti and Surrey’s Georgie Bruinvels, who set a new course record in what was her first ever marathon!
