The Railway in Hale is to hold a special summer party on Saturday in aid of The Christie.

The Ashley Road pub is putting on a BBQ, band and auction on Saturday July 18th, with the evening getting underway at 6pm.

Among the prizes in the auction, which will take place at 9.30pm, will be signed Manchester United and Manchester City shirts, a signed shirt from Danny Cipriani, a meal for four at Francs, a four-ball round of golf at Mere and a voucher for Shoes.co.uk.

There will also be a grand raffle. All proceeds from the night will go to The Christie hospital.

Landlord Alan Hough said: “Our summer party is always a fantastic and well-attended event, and everyone is very welcome to come down.

“This year’s event is all in aid of The Christie, a very worthy cause and one we’re delighted to support.”
