Bowdon man charged with kidnap and assault after series of attacks

A man from Bowdon is among three men charged following a series of attacks in Cheadle Hulme.

Mark Bowyer, 28, together with Devante Gibson, 20, from Stretford, and Cole Hamilton, 19, from Partington, have been charged with kidnap, section 18 assault, possession of an offensive weapon, possession of a firearm with intent and three counts of personal robbery.

Bowyer was handed an additional charge of dangerous driving.

All three have been remanded in custody and are due to appear at Minshull Street Crown Court in Manchester on October 9th.

Shortly after 11pm on September 7th, police had been called to an address on Swann Lane in Cheadle Hulme to reports of a robbery.

Police also received a further report of a man being bundled into a white van, as well as an allegation of assault on a male on Ladybridge Road.

Miri Cull, from Hazel Grove, and a 17-year-old boy who cannot be named for legal reasons have also been charged in connection with the attacks.
