Twenty five Altrincham businesses will be taking part in the town’s Best Dressed Window Competition this week – and you will have a chance to vote for your favourite.

The competition coincides with the RHS Flower Show Tatton Park when a free shuttle bus service will be in operation from Altrincham Interchange to the Showground at Tatton Park (between this Wednesday and Sunday).

Altrincham Unlimited, Altrincham’s Business Improvement District, which is funded by local businesses, is coordinating the competition.

There will be two opportunities for businesses to win: the RHS judges will tour the town on Wednesday and will choose their overall favourite.

People can also vote for their favourite in the ‘People’s Choice’ competition, which will be hosted by Altrincham Today on our Facebook page. Simply ‘like’ your favourite to register your vote.  The winners will be announced on Monday 22 July.

Those with RHS Flower Show Tatton Park Tickets can also access a variety of fabulous offers around the town during the week and there will be Children’s Flower Crown Workshops on Saturday 20th July at Open Studios on Stamford New Road.

Kate Gerbich, Events and Communications Manager for Altrincham Unlimited, said: “The excitement around the competition is building and lots of businesses have already started to put up their floral displays. We want to encourage everyone to come into Altrincham, enjoy the town and see the ‘Best Dressed Windows’.

“We are also aware that the RHS Flower Show Tatton Park brings thousands of visitors through the interchange and we would love them to spend time in the town at either end of their day or come back to visit on another day.”
