A woman was threatened with a knife during a daylight attack in Bowdon.

Shortly before 3.40pm on Thursday 29th August, the woman was approached on Stamford Road by two men dressed in dark clothing and wearing balaclavas.

The men then threatened the woman with a knife before taking her wallet, mobile phone and a watch that is said to be of “deep sentimental value”.

The woman was then pushed to the ground and the men drove off in a dark Volvo 4×4.

Detective Constable David Jarvis, of GMP’s Stretford division, said: “This was a violent incident which left the woman understandably shaken from the attack.

“The watch that was stolen from the woman was passed down from her father and holds deep sentimental value.
