There’s a bumper week of family half-term fun this Halloween – including a free Monster Mayhem family town trail, children’s spooky silent discos and free monster-making workshops, all organised by Altrincham BID.

On the trail, children can help Altrina, the good witch of Altrincham, find the monsters released from the clock tower by the naughty goblin of Goose Green.

Monster-painting workshops will be held at Open Studios

The trail takes place from Tuesday 22nd to Friday 25th October, between 10am and 4pm – pick up a trail sheet from Waterstones on George Street. There will be a treat for all the children who complete the trail and a special prize draw.

On Friday 25th October, there will also be Spooky Silent Discos with ‘Our Kids Social’ at Treehouse on George Street. Tickets are just £3 per person and include the disco and themed games with prizes, plus Addams family photo frame and free face painting. Tickets for the 11am disco can be purchased here and for the 1am disco here.

There will also be free monster-making workshops at Open Studios on Stamford New Road. Children can help to decorate one of Altrincham’s five big monsters and see them displayed in shops around the town for Halloween – including Gran T’s Coffee House and Warrens Bakery. Families are also encouraged to enter the ‘Monster Face’ photo competition on the Altrincham Unlimited Facebook page.
