Altrincham FC prepare to take on out-of-form 17th placed Maidenhead United at the J Davidson Stadium today at 3pm.

Last weekend, Dan Mooney’s 94th minute winner sealed a 3-2 victory for Parkinson’s men against Dagenham and Redbridge.

The result shot the Robins up the table and knocked the Daggers – who were league leaders at the time – off the top spot.

“Beating Dagenham was up there with our victory against Torquay earlier on in the season,” said Parkinson.

He added: “It did feel sweeter as we won it right at the last minute when they were at the top of the league.

Under the lights on Tuesday night the Robins lost 3-2 to Grimsby Town. It was Altrincham’s first home defeat of the campaign.

“There was nothing in the game, they were pretty imposing,” said Parkinson.

“Grimsby weren’t necessarily that special but as a unit they are a really good team.”

Maidenhead United, known as the Magpies, are without a victory since August, having picked up just two points from their past five games.

“If we want this season to be a success we have to bounce back,” said Parkinson.

“We need to not only bounce back but bounce back quickly,” added the Altrincham gaffer.

“Saturday will be a real test. The gate will not be as big as it was on Tuesday against Grimsby so the players will have to get themselves up for it.”

Altrincham sit just one place and one point outside the play-off spots, with two games in hand on 7th placed Solihull Moors.

A win could potentially take the Robins up to 6th in the league, while a win for Maidenhead United could move The Magpies to 14th, four points clear of the relegation zone.

Radio Robins will be broadcasting live from the ground and the club will be providing match updates from Twitter.
