Altrincham’s Christmas celebrations are set to kick off in style on Saturday 20th November with the return of the magical Lantern Parade.

The festive opener will start at midday when local schools and community choirs take to the stage in the Not So Secret Grotto in Stamford Square.

The parade itself will then start in Goose Green at 4.15pm, meandering throughout the town before arriving in the Stamford Quarter for the finale at 5pm.

There, the Music Place will lead a Christmas singalong during which the town’s Christmas lights will be switched on.
