A 67-year-old man who died after a collision involving three vehicles in Altrincham last week has been named as Allan Gray.

The incident happened on Clay Lane, close to the junction with Wellfield Lane, at around 6pm on Tuesday, January 25th.

The road was subsequently closed for several hours between Thorley Lane and Bowdon Rugby Club.

Emergency services had pronounced the driver of one of the vehicles dead at the scene, with the driver of a second vehicle taken to hospital as a precaution.

A file in relation to Mr Gray’s death has been passed to Manchester South Coroners’ Court ahead of an inquest, to be held at a later date.
