Altrincham Football Club have slashed the cost of entry for their clash with relegation-embattled Weymouth FC.

Ticket prices for adults and juniors will be £5 and under-12s will be £1.

A win for the Robins would put the club 13 points clear of the relegation zone and potentially lift them to 15th in the league.

A spokesperson from the club told Altrincham Today: “The aim is to turn The J. Davidson Stadium into a cauldron of support for Phil and the lads, and there is irrefutable evidence that our supporters can do exactly that.

“So, get behind the Robins, fill The J. Davidson Stadium to the gunnels by taking advantage of the discounted prices and let’s all raise the roof.”

Altrincham are on course for their biggest average attendance gate in decades, according to data from Football Web Pages.

So far, the club have hit median attendances of 2,246 – the 11th highest in the division.

The Robins have not averaged more than 2,000 over the course of a season since the 1970’s.

In team news, Phil Parkinson’s gained a much-needed victory against King’s Lynn last Saturday. Altrincham won 1-0 thanks to an exquisite strike from Ryan Colclough from just outside of the box.

Three days later the players produced another valiant display against promotion-chasing Boreham Wood, but narrowly lost the game 2-0.

In player news, Chris Conn-Clarke’s loan stint with Altrincham has been cut short, following his injury at King’s Lynn Town on Saturday.
