No trams are currently travelling on the Altrincham line after a major power outage last night.
Metrolink said the outage, which caused chaos for supporters travelling to and from Old Trafford last evening, was caused by an overhead line fault.
Both the Altrincham and East Didsbury lines are fully suspended, and the Airport line is part-suspended between Sale Water Park and Victoria.
Engineers are currently working to fix the issue but Transport for Greater Manchester say that disruption “is expected to continue today”.
Passengers can use Metrolink tickets on the 11, 23, 245, 255, 256 and 263 bus services, according to the TfGM website.
