Hale Community Trust is hosting a series of public information events to provide local residents and businesses with details of the progress of works for Hale’s new library and community centre.

Plans for the 6,000 sq ft centre – to be built on the site of the current bowling green pavilion – were approved by Trafford Council in 2019.

The new development is being funded by the sale of the current library site on Leigh Road and Addison Road, for residential development by Westshield.

The public information events are unveiling interior design plans for the new build, and will take place at Peter House, Murieston Road, next to St Peter’s Church in Hale.

One event took place on Saturday, with the others on Tuesday, March 8th (10am-12:30pm) and Thursday, March 10th (6pm-8.30pm).

Displays showing the exterior of the new building along with internal plans for both the library and community centre will be available. Members of Hale Community Trust will also be able to answer questions about the project.

HCT is also encouraging local people to have their say on the shortlist of names for the new building, which include The Hale Pavilion, The Pavilion, Hale Community Centre and
The Community Centre.

You can vote now on your choice or send any suggestions you may have for the new building to: contact@halecommunitytrust.co.uk
