A spokesperson for One Trafford, the partnership between Trafford Council and contractor Amey which is responsible for the borough’s roads, said the council was delivering an “extensive” programme of repairs.

They said: “Due to the ageing network, the number of potholes identified as a result of inspections has increased. However, Trafford Council is delivering an extensive programme of repairs.

“Firstly, potholes at a depth of 40mm or more are to be repaired in 28 days or less, depending on the severity. In addition, Trafford Council is undertaking a capital programme of resurfacing works.”

“The current programme consists of 44 schemes and includes Sinderland Lane, which is due to undergo repairs next month. Prior to this, Sinderland Road at the junction with Draybank Road was resurfaced in September 2020, and more recently underwent repairs at the junction with Clarke Street.
