Altrincham’s Not So Secret Garden will be hosting a weekend of entertainment to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

On Saturday June 4th and Sunday June 5th, it will be home to a celebratory garden party with activities, entertainment, food and drink and family fun for the community.

There’ll be street party-style tables and seating as well as afternoon tea, face painting, strawberries and cream and Pimm’s, as well as live music and roaming performers.

Workshops on the Saturday include a Create a Crown workshop and Plant a Tree for the Jubilee where children will be able to plant a sapling in a pot to take home and plant in their garden as part of the Queen’s Green Canopy Project. These activities are free to attend and can be booked here.

There will also be 40s-style swing and jazz music to commemorate the Queen’s 70 years on the throne. Live music performances on the Saturday include The Rip Roaring Success followed by Stutter and Twitch presenting the 7.45s.

Sunday’s schedule includes swing band The Easy Riders as well as roaming musicians and performers on roller skates roving around the Stamford Quarter, from the Not So Secret Garden all the way along the high street to Greggs.

Not So Secret Garden’s resident bar Stutter and Twitch will be serving up a full Jubilee extravaganza with hot dogs, afternoon tea and strawberries and cream as well as craft beer, Pimms and speciality coffee.

Boozy ice cream from A Few Scoops will also be available for the whole weekend, with delicious hand-made sweet treats from Sally’s Dream Cakes available on Sunday.

The festivities will take place throughout the weekend, finishing on Sunday afternoon.
