Altrincham is ready to celebrate The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee this weekend with street parties across town.

A list released by Trafford Council has revealed that 27 roads in Altrincham will be closed off or blocked to enable residents to put up the bunting and mark Her Majesty’s special anniversary in style.

At least one of the roads on the list will be looking to repeat its street party from the Queen’s Silver Jubilee celebration in 1977.

Nursery Avenue, in Hale, marked that occasion in colourful style, as these pictures sent in by Nicola Copsey show.
