A man in his 60s had a high-value watch stolen during a late-night robbery in Altrincham on Wednesday.
Police were called to the scene on Groby Road shortly before 9pm.
An investigation has been launched and no arrests have been made.
The incident followed an online statement from Greater Manchester Police yesterday which said that its Trafford South team were “supporting our CID colleagues in Hale and Altrincham due to a serious incident last night”.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “We were called shortly before 9pm on (17 August) to a report of a robbery on Groby Road, Altrincham. We understand that a man in his 60s was targeted and had a high-value watch stolen from him.
“An investigation is underway. No arrests have been made.”
