The Bowdon house recently rented by Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has been put up for sale – fuelling rumours he may be about to sign for Real Madrid.
The six-bedroom detached house, on Stanhope Road, is listed with Northwood and is being marketed locally by Gascoigne Halman, with offers invited in the region of £2.75m.
The ‘Arts and Crafts’ style house boasts 8500 sq ft of accommodation over four floors in a third of an acre, and includes a games room, home cinema, office and gymnasium with steam room and sauna.
De Gea is understood to have been living there with his family last season.
Rumours have swirled for months that 24-year-old de Gea is poised to return to his homeland to replace Real keeper Iker Casillas.
