Logistics company takes unit on former Cartwright Group site in Broadheath

The freight forwarding specialist has agreed a deal with Network Space at the Broadheath Networkcentre on Atlantic Street.

XPand Logistics has moved into its new 28,700 sq ft unit in Broadheath, part of the former home of the Cartwright Group.

More than 50% of the 206,000 sq ft site is now pre-let following earlier deals with Options Greathire and Maersk.

XPand Logistics will officially open is new logistics centre on February 5th.

Mark Reid, Branch Manager, said: “Strategically Altrincham is perfectly placed to service the North of England and the flexibility built into the design of this building allows an unparalleled service for the region."

One of Altrincham’s biggest employers at the time of its demise, The Cartwright Group appointed administrators in September 2020 with the loss of hundreds of jobs.

The redevelopment of the site, which has been supported by a £23m loan from Trafford Council, is due to finish later this year.
