Sing up – Wednesday choir sessions return to The Cinnamon Club

A new term of choir sessions begins at The Cinnamon Club in Bowdon tomorrow.

A new term of choir sessions begins at The Cinnamon Club in Bowdon tomorrow.

Described as “uplifting, social and great fun”, there are three choirs and all voices and abilities are welcome.

The daytime choir takes place every Wednesday between 1 and 2.30pm, while the evening choir lasts from 8 to 9pm. Both sing “soulful and jazzy” music.

Each session is accompanied by a pianist and occasionally a band, and led by Clare Morel from The Music Place. For newcomers, the first session is free.

There’s also the Vibrant Voices choir, made up of people living with dementia, Parkinson’s, stroke survivors and their carers, which meets every Wednesday between 2 and 3.45pm.
