Schoolwear supplier F R Monkhouse Ltd has committed its future to Altrincham for the next five years.
The store has leased a 1,482 sq ft space on the corner of Market Street and Shaws Road for the past two years.
Monkhouse has now moved from a flexible deal to a traditional five-year lease at a rent of £16,000 per annum.
Managing director Peter Monkhouse said: “We had been looking for the right location in Altrincham for some time and this prominent shop on the corner of Market Street and Shaws Road has proved to be a successful and popular new outlet with our existing and new customers.”
Regional Property Solutions negotiated the new lease on behalf of the landlord, a private pension fund.
Director Daniel Lee said: “The retail unit has obviously proved to be an ideal location for Monkhouse as it is central to a number of the schools for which it is the designated uniform provider.
“Its commitment for the longer term also reflects the upturn in the town centre and the successful redevelopment of the indoor market.”
Monkhouse has 18 outlets in Cheadle Hulme, Stockport, Rochdale, Preston, Oldham Bury and Liverpool as well as many on-campus school shops.
