A businesswoman from Altrincham has been revealed as one of the candidates on the new series of BBC One’s The Apprentice.
Rebecca Jeffery is the 31-year-old owner of Fi & Becs Design & Marketing and has been involved in helping to promote the Altrincham French Festival.
She runs the agency with her sister, Fi, and graduated from Nottingham University in 2006 with a degree in American and Canadian Studies.
Jeffery is one of the new class of 18 who will embark on a series of tasks to try and convince Sir Alan Sugar to hire them and secure a £250,000 business investment.
The nine men and nine women come from a range of careers and backgrounds, from bakeries and business consultancy to property and IT.
The primetime show returns on October 6th and will once again see Sugar joined by advisors Baroness Karren Brady and Claude Littner.
Lord Sugar said: “I need to see who’s got a good business brain, that’s all I’m interested in.
“The winner gets a £250,000 investment and it will change someone’s life forever.
“You are going to learn more about yourself throughout the course of this process, I promise you that.”
Jeffery couldn’t tell us anything more about the series this morning, but she was quoted as priding herself “on being relentless and possessing an infectious enthusiasm, but admits that numbers and calculations are a weakness for her
She added: “People often foolishly mistake my enthusiasm for silliness or positivity for naivety. I’m proof that you can get things done without whinging.”
Jeffery appears to be lined up as something of a character by the show’s producers, if this trailer is anything to go by: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p047q0rr/the-apprentice-series-12-meet-the-candidates
