BBC North West Tonight presenter Beccy Barr is to host a new awards event that will celebrate customer service excellence in Altrincham.
The official Altrincham Unlimited BID Awards will take place at the Best Western Cresta Court Hotel on Tuesday June 20th.
It will be the culmination of a mystery customer programme, in partnership with Storecheckers.
Open to BID levy-paying businesses from any sector, a team of mystery customers will visit or contact each of the 100 businesses and score them on a variety of criteria including initial contact, product and pricing, service, sales, website, venue image, staff image, local knowledge and satisfaction.
Once all visits and contacts are complete, each participating business will receive their scoring and a bespoke report, as well as a debrief session with a member of Storecheckers.
The best performing businesses will be honoured at the awards evening, to be hosted by Barr, a regular on regional TV and radio whether presenting North West Tonight, BBC Radio Lancashire’s breakfast programme, covering business news for BBC Radio 5 Live, presenting Sunday Politics North West or reporting for BBC Inside Out.

Entry to the awards programme is strictly limited to 100 businesses and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis – so all businesses are encouraged to register their interest as soon as possible.
