Remember Me on Ashley Road has been acquired by Amin Ammar, who has submitted a planning application to convert the premises into a café.

A Syrian who moved to Manchester from Damascus in 2005, Ammar already has two cafés in the area – in Heaton Moor and Bramhall – under the brand Juniper.

Juniper describes itself as a “contemporary group of artisan cafés, striving to serve the best coffee, hot and cold beverages”.

It also offers a full range of breakfasts, lunches, salads and sweets.

Ammar has now applied to Trafford Council for permission to change the use of the Ashley Road unit from retail to cafe.

Remember Me has been offered as a going concern for some time and it’s understood that the recent opening of Marks & Spencer in Hale has made the trading environment even more difficult.
