An Altrincham-headquartered company that trades in over 40 countries has celebrated its 25th anniversary.
Informed Solutions, a leading independent provider of digital transformation and systems integration services, was founded by Elizabeth Vega in 1992.
It now has offices in Edinburgh, London, Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra, but its head office remains in the iconic Old Bank in Altrincham town centre.
The company has delivered hundreds of major innovation projects to blue chip multi-nationals, national and state governments, and was the first company to commercially put maps and location based services on mobiles.
It also led on the first mobile computing solutions in the utilities and asset management space and partnered with a national telco supplier to pioneer tablet computing for real-time data capture and works management in the field.
Another significant success has been the InformedCONSULT platform, used nationally to support open and secure public consultations on local and parliamentary boundary reviews as part of the UK’s digital democracy agenda.
Global CEO Elizabeth Vega, a longstanding member of the Cabinet Office SME Advisory Panel, said: “The last 25 years have been a wonderful journey of growth, setbacks and persistence.
“The world has changed enormously since we started out in 1992 when the internet was still in its infancy. It’s been amazing to work in a period of so much change.
“I also feel really privileged to work with extraordinary colleagues who are creative thinkers that welcome the chance to reinvent what’s possible, embrace complexity and do not fear change. I continue to be motivated by the sense of achievement I feel when we deliver elegant, high performing solutions to the many complex problems that we see across disrupted sectors.”
“Everyone at Informed is excited about the future as we push forward with our global growth strategy.”
