Altrincham insurance company A-Plan has launched a campaign to raise money to fund laptops for schools in the local area.
A-Plan’s Stamford New Road branch is currently closed to visitors due to Covid restrictions, but team members are working from home and answering calls in under 20 seconds on average.
With so many local pupils continuing to be home-schooled, A-Plan has launched a campaign which sees them donate £10 for every time someone calls a participating branch for a quote for a new car, home, van or business insurance policy and mentions ‘IT4Schools’.
A-Plan will donate £10 to the client’s preferred school, even if they don’t take out a policy. The campaign is set to run until the end of March.
Matthew Dodd (pictured), A-Plan’s Altrincham branch manager, said: “Being part of the local community has always been at the heart of what we do here at A-Plan, and it is now more important than ever.
“That’s why the team and I are delighted to be supporting the IT for schools campaign to help education in the area.
“These are challenging times for schools, parents and pupils. This idea started when we offered help to colleagues who were finding home schooling a real challenge. Our hope is that this will go some way to offering IT support to those who really need it. We want to spread this message throughout the area because the more quote requests we get, the more we can donate.”
