A Hale-based accountancy firm has celebrated 10 years in business with a party attended by clients, staff, family and friends.
Alexander Knight & Co, based on Hale Road, marked the milestone with cocktails and canapes at Three Little Words in Manchester.
The company was founded by experienced accountant Murray Patt in 2012 and aims to give the entrepreneurial SME everything they would need under one roof, with particular emphasis on specialist tax and audit services for companies and directors.
Patt said: “We are delighted to celebrate 10 years in business providing our tax and accountancy services to some of the region’s leading privately-owned businesses.
“When I launched Alexander Knight & Co back in 2012, I knew there was a gap in the market for an owner-managed accountancy practice that lived and breathed the same challenges as entrepreneurs.
“Ten years ago, I was focused on developing an accountancy practice that provided high-quality advice for local entrepreneurs and business owners and I’m proud to have achieved this with a fantastic team. We would like to thank all our clients, staff and the wider business community for supporting us and continuing to refer clients to us as we grow.”
As well as providing accountancy services to owner-managed and family-owned businesses across the region, the firm also counts PLCs and internationally based companies as clients.
In 2020, the practice joined MGI Worldwide, the global network of accounting firms which has more than 9.000 members in over 100 countries.
This year, Alexander Knight & Co became the first accountancy practice in the UK to obtain the ESGmark accreditation thanks to its commitment to environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles.
