Two Altrincham businesses have teamed up to help make winter more comfortable for local residents by offering a warm indoor space - and freshly baked biscuits.
Full Circle Funeral Partners has opened a room in its premises on Ashley Road and Off the Wheaten Track, on Oxford Road, will provide speciality Amaretti biscuits for free.
All local residents are welcome to take advantage of the offer, which is part of the nationwide Warm Spaces initiative.
It's the second year that Full Circle has been involved in the scheme, which aims to ensure everyone has somewhere warm and friendly to go.
Sara Fixter, owner of Full Circle Funeral Partners, said: “Our interiors have been specially designed to support wellbeing and we are delighted to be able to share them through the winter months so that people can enjoy a warm, safe, welcoming place, a hot drink, free wi-fi and company.
“I am over the moon that Hayley has decided to get involved this year by providing some of her delicious vegan Amaretti biscuits free of charge for our visitors.
“Off the Wheaten Track was one of the first businesses in Altrincham to welcome us when we moved into Ashley Road and we have become big fans of their wonderful gluten free cakes, bakes, and savoury treats.”
Hayley Hadfield, who owns Off the Wheaten Track deli with her husband Dave, added: “The interiors at Full Circle Funerals are not at all what you would expect from a funeral director and the fact that Sara and Jez are such friendly people makes them the perfect hosts for the Warm Welcome campaign.
“We are really pleased to be supporting them this year and bringing a little bit of extra comfort to anyone who might be struggling with loneliness or keeping warm this winter with a weekly supply of our bestselling Amaretti bites.”
Anyone in the community can come along to Full Circle Funeral Partners at 23 Ashley Road on Tuesdays from 11.30am-1.30pm.
Free hot drinks, Off the Wheaten Track biscuits and wi-fi are available. There is no need to book - to find out Warm Spaces and other local places taking part, visit the website.
