An established frame maker has opened a major new branch in Altrincham town centre.
Framing Altrincham has opened in the former Bikeshak unit on Oakfield Trading Estate, a couple of minutes' walk from Altrincham Interchange.
It's a second branch for the company, with its original shop, Framing Manchester, having operated in Chorlton since 2008.
Since then it has established itself as a leading supplier to the major museums and galleries of Manchester, as well as individual customers and local businesses.
Altrincham resident Andy Botterill, Director of Framing Altrincham, said: "It’s so exciting for us to be opening a new branch in Altrincham.
"We’ve built a great customer base over the last 16 years or so, and we’ve noticed that many of them live or run businesses in this area.
"When County Galleries stopped trading last year after many years we felt that the time was right to open our second showroom and workshop here.”
The location of Framing Altrincham was a big factor for Andy.
He added: “It’s easy to get to from the town centre – you can walk through the interchange, over the bridge and then we are just next to the train station car park. There’s also free onsite parking.”
Services offered by Framing Altrincham include a bespoke and express framing service and fine art printing, and it's also looking to work with interior design businesses in the Altrincham area.
"We will be offering some new services such as special hand finishes and stains to offer a more bespoke and tailored service for our customers,” said Andy.
“That’s alongside our huge range of mouldings, mounting options, fine art large format printing and our popular Express framing service, all delivered by our expert and friendly team.”
“We’ve had a great response already in the few days that we’ve been open, both with the local residents and the interior design companies in and around the area. We will be delighted to welcome them to our new showroom!”
