Altrincham is set to turn pink this spring as an annual breast cancer fundraising campaign returns to the town.
Paint Altrincham Pink is back from Monday 16th to Sunday 29nd March, raising funds and awareness for Prevent Breast Cancer, the charity based at the Nightingale Centre in Wythenshawe Hospital.
The fortnight-long campaign is organised by Altrincham BID - the team behind Visit Altrincham - and brings together local businesses, residents and visitors around a shared mission of supporting breast cancer prevention.
The centrepiece of this year's campaign is the Paint Altrincham Pink Fashion Show, returning for a fourth consecutive year on Thursday 26th March.
The event moves to a new venue this time, Nell's Pizza, for what promises to be a stylish evening of fashion and fundraising.
Taking to the "runway" will be collections from a lineup of Altrincham retailers including Oliver Bonas, Monsoon, The Edit, Flair Boutique, Crew Clothing and Elite Pre-loved, with more names to be confirmed. Hair styling will be provided by House of Finesse.
The 2026 programme will also feature Pink the Rink - a partnership with Manchester Storm - on Saturday 21st March, where fans will be encouraged to wear pink to the match in a show of solidarity.
Then on Tuesday 24th March, Everyman Altrincham hosts a special charity screening of Grease. Guests are invited to come dressed as Pink Ladies and enjoy an evening complete with pink popcorn and themed cocktails. Tickets are priced at £10, with all proceeds going directly to Prevent Breast Cancer.
Beyond the headline events, businesses across Altrincham will be joining in throughout the two weeks - dressing windows in pink, hosting bake sales, launching special pink-themed products (from cakes to cocktails), and running their own fundraising activities.
