All council-owned car parks and on-street parking locations in Altrincham will be free after 3pm, with effect from the end of lockdown.
Trafford Council has announced it will be bringing back the scheme across the borough, to last from December 2nd until January 14th.
The scheme applies to parking between Monday to Saturday – parking is already free all day on Sundays.
Cllr James Wright, Trafford Council’s Executive Member for Housing and Regeneration, said: “Free after 3 has proved popular in previous years because it is a great scheme that enables residents to support their local areas.
“As a Council we are determined to maintain and improve our successful and thriving town centres in Trafford. Sadly, we’ve seen major disruptions this year due to Covid so it’s really important we can support our local high streets and back our businesses, especially in the run-up to Christmas.
Yellow stickers will be visible at on-street pay and display machines across the borough and in council-owned car parks where the scheme is in operation.
