Voters go to the polls on Thursday 7th May.

Voters across Trafford go to the polls on Thursday 7th May, with 21 of the 63 seats on the council chamber up for grabs - and seven of those contests taking place across the Altrincham area.

A total of 114 candidates are standing across the borough, with Labour, the Conservatives, Reform UK, the Green Party and the Liberal Democrats all fielding candidates in each of the 21 wards.

Labour currently control Trafford Council, holding 41 of the 63 seats. The Conservatives have ten, the Liberal Democrats seven and the Greens five.

Polls will be open from 7am until 10pm. Voters must bring photo ID to cast their ballot. You can find your nearest polling station by searching here.
