Businesses to showcase local openings at Altrincham Jobs Fair

Local businesses of all sizes will be offering a variety of job opportunities at a Jobs Fair in Altrincham next week.

Local businesses of all sizes will be offering a variety of job opportunities at a Jobs Fair in Altrincham next week.

The event, which will place between 2pm and 6pm on Monday 2nd November at Altrincham Town Hall, has been organised in response to the difficulties some local businesses had faced in filling their available roles.

Among the employers appearing at the Jobs Fair include Marks & Spencer, Trafford Council, Domino’s Pizza, Stamford Van Hire, Greggs and McGoff & Byrne, alongside many other smaller businesses.

The range of available jobs include front line staff, managerial posts and technical vacancies.

Joan Scott, director at Trafford College and chair of the Altrincham Forward People Group, said: “With so many businesses currently looking for staff we felt it was the right time to have a Jobs Fair in Altrincham.

“So much is happening in the town, with businesses expanding and new ventures opening- and they all are looking for great people!

“We need to showcase these opportunities and highlight what a great town Altrincham is not only for businesses but also for employees who work here. The Jobs Fair will bring together businesses with vacancies and people looking for work, so everyone benefits.”

Trafford College will also be showcasing over 50 apprenticeship vacancies, and other support organisations such as Jobcentre Plus will be in attendance.
