The Cinnamon Club will welcome a dancefloor-busting party band to Bowdon for two popular Christmas parties.
Frisco Crabbe & the Atlantic Frantics play Altrincham’s only jazz club on December 9th and 16th – and the tickets will also include a two-course Christmas meal and a DJ ‘til 1am.
Expect plenty of fake fur and leopard skin and the best funky, floor-filling hits.
Lead singer John Dagnall told us what to expect: “Soul, funk, a lot of dancing and a lot of fun! We’ll be playing everything from James Brown to Otis Redding to Prince to Tina Turner; anything that you can dance to, but given a unique Frisco twist. There will be lots of faux fur and big hats; I may even bring out my leopard-skin suit!”
Frisco Crabbe & the Atlantic Frantics features Huw Jacob on bass guitar, Paul Farr on guitar (for the show on the 9th) and Nick Marland (on the 16th), Darby Pell on drums, Phil Nicholas on trumpet, Toby Greenwood on tenor sax, with Lois Dagnall and Hannah May on backing vocals.
He added: “We LOVE The Cinnamon Club! We’ve played The Cinnamon Club many times over the years, including last Christmas. Neil (Hughes, the owner) has always made us so welcome, and really knows how to look after the artists and musicians. The audiences are fabulous, it’s just a great place to watch and play music. I can’t wait to bring the Frisco show back to the Cinnamon stage in December.”
Tickets for each night, including two-course dinner, cost £39 and can be bought here.
