The Hale Barns Carnival will return in July with a host of top tribute acts.

The Hale Barns Carnival will return in July with a host of top tribute acts.

The event, which launched last year, will be back on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th July on St Ambrose College’s playing fields.

The daytime event will again showcase local performers and musicians alongside artisan food stalls, car displays, falconry displays, a traditional funfair, brass bands, dance displays and lots of family activities.

And following the success of New York disco act Odyssey last year, the Saturday night concert will see performances from tribute bands including The Pretend Beatles, the Sound of Bowie and George Michael tribute Andrew Browning.

The Sunday night will see a performance from acclaimed tribute act ABBA Revival as well as the award-winning Bootleg Bee Gees and Diana Ross by Tameka.

Organiser Max Eden said: “In doing these shows, I really wanted the very best in tributes because there are tributes and then there are tributes. Having gone through hundreds of performers, I’ve selected the very best and the shows lined up are possibly the greatest party gigs possible.”

Gates for each evening concert opens at 6pm and tickets are now on sale here, tickets £20 for adults, £5 for under-16s and £30 for a weekend pass.

Money raised from the event goes towards the community hall project for Hale Barns.
