Remembrance Sunday services will be taking place across the Altrincham area on November 14th.
Last year, the Covid pandemic limited remembrance events to just a single invitation-only service in Trafford.
This year, services will return in Altrincham, Bowdon, Hale and Hale Barns – the full details are below.
In line with current guidance, people are asked not to attend if they have symptoms of Covid and residents are also being asked to take a lateral flow test beforehand and not to attend if the test is positive.
The Mayor of Trafford, Councillor Laurence Walsh, will lead civic dignitaries at the civic service, which takes place this year at the war memorial on Chester Road, Stretford.
He said: “It is a great privilege to be able to honour our heroes who gave their lives defending our precious freedoms.
“It is especially poignant after not being able to hold services throughout our borough last year. I would urge everyone to pay their respects on Remembrance Sunday and reflect on the sacrifice our service men and women have made on our behalf.”
