A free town trail, silent discos and children’s craft workshops will all form part of a family-friendly programme of activities in Altrincham over the Easter holidays.
Organised by Altrincham’s Business Improvement District (Altrincham BID), there will also be craft workshops at Inch Arts and a floristry workshop for the grown-ups.
The town trail, which has been sponsored by Bruntwood Works, is inspired by Alison Uttley’s book ‘Hare and the Easter Eggs’. The author wrote the ‘Little Grey Rabbit’ books and lived on The Downs in Altrincham between 1924 and 1938.
Families are invited to help Hare find his woodland friends, who are all hiding in shops around the town.
It’ll run from Tuesday 12th to Thursday 14th April, and trail sheets can be collected from the Not So Secret Garden in Stamford Square.
Other activities include:
- April 12th – Our Kids Social will be hosting paper craft workshops at Total Fitness. Tickets must be bought in advance via Eventbrite.co.uk.
- April 13th and 14th – Inch Arts will be hosting craft workshops including egg marbling, printing Easter cards, making Easter chick baskets and clay Easter bunnies.
- April 14th – Easter Silent Discos, with Our Kids Social, at the Best Western Cresta Court Hotel. Dress to impress in your favourite Easter outfit – bunnies, chicks & eggheads welcome! Tickets must be bought in advance via Eventbrite.co.uk.
Mandy White, Altrincham’s BID Manager, said: “Altrincham is hosting a packed programme of activities during the Easter holidays, and as well as those organised by Altrincham BID, there will be a family-friendly festival of wildlife and nature in the Not So Secret Wildlife Garden, Stamford Quarter.
“Many of Altrincham’s businesses are also running Easter holiday clubs, camps and activities and more information is available via VisitAltrincham.com and on the ‘Easter Fun in Altrincham!’ flyer which can be picked from businesses around the town.
