There’s a packed programme of events running in Altrincham throughout the Easter Holidays.
Altrincham Business Improvement District (The BID) has organised a free Easter Egg Hunt Town Trail.
Sponsored by Everyman Altrincham, the trail will run from Monday 3rd to Monday 10th April.
Pick up a trail sheet from the Everyman and look out for the Easter bunnies and eggs hidden in the shops and businesses, and the first 100 children to complete the trail will receive a special Everyman goodie bag.
All children will be given an Easter treat and have the chance to be entered into a prize draw to win a family pass for the Everyman Altrincham.
Children’s Easter craft workshops are also taking place at Inch Arts on Wednesday 5th and Thursday 6th April. Tickets can be booked on Eventbrite.co.uk.
Partcipants will be tasked with creating Easter eggs and bunnies using different techniques, including fork and wax resist painting.
There are lots of other Easter activities happening around the town.
The Stamford Quarter will also be transformed for a special Easter celebration on Saturday 8th April.
The Not So Secret Garden and George Street will host a busy Easter programme of FREE arts and craft workshops with Inch Arts and Eco Warriors, food and drink and live music.
The space will be given an Easter makeover, decorated with seasonal spring bunting, rainbow archways and Easter bunnies.
From 11am-4pm there will be four arts and craft workshops courtesy of Inch Arts.
Designed for the whole family, they will include canvas painting, Easter card making, egg decorating and drop-in badge-making. The sessions are bookable and places are limited so it’s advisable to book in advance.
With a focus on wildlife, nature and sustainability, the Eco Warrior Sessions will take place in the Not So Secret Garden as a series of ‘eggsperiments’ with children and adults asked to test their engineering skills and see what materials they can use to protect an egg before trying to smash it.
There will also be the chance to plant carrot seeds and take them home in a biodegradable tray.
The Stamford Quarter will also be brought to life with roaming street entertainers and live music courtesy of Stutter & Twitch, who will also be serving up hotdogs, nachos, coffee and tea from their van, as well as craft beers, cider and cocktails from the bar.
And from 11am to 4pm, Whitelace Bakery will be selling baked Easter goodies.
Other events in Altrincham will include an Easter Rave at Nerd, The Jungle Book at the Altrincham Garrick Playhouse, a free Lego Easter Make and Take at The Entertainer, the Easter themed Storytime and craft sessions at Waterstones, Easter holiday skate camps at Planet Ice and more.
