An Irish bar is opening in Altrincham town centre.
Kennedy’s has taken over the Greenwood Street unit formerly occupied by Italian restaurant Locanda, which had closed just before the first lockdown in March 2020.
The company behind the new launch, Kennedy Hospitality Ltd, has applied for a new premises licence that would allow alcohol to be sold on site until 11pm from Sunday to Thursday and 1am on Saturdays and Sundays.
The sole director of the new company is John Kennedy, who was most recently also a director of Dante restaurant in Hale village.
It’s understood that Kennedy’s will be opening in late May, a week after the coronavirus restrictions are being eased to let hospitality venue customers eat and drink indoors.
