The team behind the acclaimed Cheshire fish and chip shop Hooked on the Heath has opened its second location in Hale today.
Hooked in Hale has begun serving customers at the former WA14 fish and chip shop premises on Ashley Road.
It marks a big move for the business that has built a loyal following in Knutsford since 2019.
"We've spent the last six years building something really special in Knutsford," said Craig Buckley, co-owner of the new Hale venture.

"We're incredibly excited to bring that same passion, quality, and community spirit to Hale."
The original Hooked on the Heath location, creatively built within a former public toilet block in Knutsford, has received numerous accolades and was Cheshire's only finalist in the top 40 for Fish and Chip Takeaway of the Year 2024 in the National Fish and Chip Awards.
Buckley has established a reputation for premium quality, sourcing fish from Norway and Iceland where "conditions are best for cod and haddock to grow".
The new Hale shop will follow the same winning formula, offering traditional fish and chips alongside seasonal specials like oyster and monkfish.
Their signature batter has been described by customers as "out of this world".
The menu also caters to diverse dietary needs with options including battered halloumi for vegetarians.
Hooked in Hale will initially welcome walk-in customers with an online click-and-collect option, with a delivery service planned for the near future.
