Christmas arrives early at MOST Bakery, and the team has been busy stirring up their seasonal treats. The independent, family-run bakery has developed a festive menu to help you help you celebrate in style this Christmas.
No Altrincham Christmas is complete without MOST’s iconic baked cheese wreath. This is a stunner of a centrepiece for your Christmas Eve, Christmas night or Boxing Day table - ideal for sharing with your family… or not sharing at all!
A ‘wreath’ of soft white bread around a baked cheese for dipping. This year, choose from the award-winning cider-washed Drunken Burt from local cheesemaker Burts Cheese or a carefully selected Cotswold Brie.
This year’s Christmas bread counter is looking especially merry, with returning favourites like sage & onion sourdough and black treacle rye bread.
MOST’s renowned festive bagels are making their seasonal appearance too, including cheese and cranberry and apple and cinnamon. New to the festive bread menu this year is focaccia – olive and garlic, and roast potato, caramelised red onion and rosemary are available by pre-order.

Another new addition is a cheese and pesto tear and share bread. Sea salt sourdough crackers are back – the perfect accompaniment for your Christmas cheeses.
Traditional bakes such as stollen will also return – an enriched bread with a heart of almond marzipan and a snowy icing-sugar finish. This year, the bakers have tweaked their recipe with a genius twist – two rolls of marzipan to maximise the amount of marzipan in every bite!
MOST’s pastry selection remains a December highlight. Alongside their classic croissants, pain au chocolat and cinnamon buns, you’ll find an assortment of festive specials, including their famous Bailey cruffins and two types of Christmas croissant – a bi-colour crème patisserie filled option as well as a Christmas tree shaped version!
Other seasonal specials include a white chocolate and cranberry pain suisse, Christmas spice buns, a trifle Danish and pistachio cherry bear claw. Savoury pastries are also getting the Christmas treatment, including pigs in blankets and brie and cranberry Danishes, and MOST’s handmade sausage rolls with a festive twist of red onion chutney.

The patisserie counter will be brimming with choice, from returning favourites like eggnog custard tart, lemon meringue pie, Basque cheesecake, chocolate orange cheesecake, salted caramel chocolate pinecones, and your choice of classic chocolate or Biscoff and white chocolate yule logs, to mince pies in both traditional and almond frangipane varieties.
New seasonal desserts also join the 2025 line-up, including tiramisu, salted caramel chocolate mousse (vegan and made without gluten) and hazelnut praline Paris Brest. Galette des Rois will be available in January.

For little ones, traditional iced gingerbreads and Christmas cupcakes will be available. Grown-ups can pick up bags of soft, spiced lebkuchen - ideal for gifting or for nibbling with a mulled wine in hand – also available at MOST!
And good news for those who prefer Christmas delivered: MOST is on Deliveroo, bringing treats straight to your door.
