Thousands of visitors are expected on Friday at a family Halloween event taking place in the Stamford Quarter in Altrincham town centre.
Admission to SpookyWoo Spectacular will be just 50p “per human”, with organisers hoping to build on the success of the inaugural event in 2012.
The event will take over a large empty shop unit next to Rackhams (formerly New Look), which is being temporarily reimagined as a graveyard.
“Coffin doors” will open at noon and close at 7pm, with last entry at 6.30pm.

A range of entertainment, games, competitions and activities will be on offer, while the team from Oxford Road Cafe will provide food with a “delightfully gruesome Halloween twist” at The Graveyard Grill.
Other local businesses taking part include 24 The Downs, who’ll be supplying fresh fruit cocktails, Fab Patisserie and Lulu Macaron, who will be baking Halloween cakes and cookies for the day, and Candy Creations and Gummy Worm will be selling a selection of Trick-or-Treat sweets, candies and popcorn.
Trafford Sound will be providing some suitably haunting sounds and there will also be appearances from Altrincham Kids’ Choir and professional entertainers.
SpookyWoo Spectacular is organised and staffed entirely by volunteers from Altrincham Community Team. All funds raised will be used to help stage future events.
