Traffic chaos in Altrincham caused by the closure of a major route into the town centre looks set to continue until Monday, Trafford Council has confirmed.
Significant roadworks on Barrington Road near the main junction with the main A560, which followed a “major” water burst last Saturday, have been hugely disruptive all week.
The council says the works are scheduled to finish on Monday – but “may” be finished at some point over the weekend.
